Damon started working in alcohol ink wanting more colour intensity in his art. The work began on canvas, then moved to glass: used frames with glass to reuse, and plain framed glass from a secondhand store. Left to dry overnight, the inks blended into a snowflake like bloom, and the studio has worked in it ever since.
The art is created on the back of the glass and sealed with an acrylic sealer with UV protection. That leaves the clean, smooth face of the glass in front, with the colour glowing through it.
The first commercial commission came out of a floor job. After staining the Hungry Honu café's floor into an ocean, the owners saw the studio's glass and asked for a custom sneeze guard. Since then there have been six privacy windows for a ranch B&B, created in place over windows facing a carport in the colours of the surrounding landscape with opaque gold, and a wainscot of 3 by 2 foot glass panels in sunset and landscape colours for the outdoor space of a private dinner club.

Kailua Village
An old 1971 bare concrete floor stained into an ocean. Once it was finished, the owners saw the studio's alcohol ink work and asked for a custom counter sneeze guard as well, so the café's floor and glass now read as one piece.
